Welcome to the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta!
Letter from the President
Dear Alumni, Parents, and Potential New Members,
My name is Hank Smith. I am an Agricultural Economics major from Austin, TX. I am proud to serve as the President of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) at Texas A&M for the 2024-2025 school year. At Alpha Mu Fiji, we pride ourselves on upholding the Texas A&M honor code and core values as well as the Fiji core values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence. We are Aggies first, Fijis second.
We keep very busy all year. Our members participate in weekly chapter meetings, weekly bible studies, monthly service projects, monthly brotherhood events, philanthropy events both semesters, competitive intramural sports, semi-formal and formal date events, home football game tailgates, and parties at our off-campus property. Our members are also encouraged to get as involved on campus as possible, with active brothers participating in Big Event Staff, Gilbert Leadership Conference, Collegiate Council, Professional Program in Accounting, Trading Risk & Investments Program, Professional Association for Industrial Distribution, and many other organizations.
In addition to being active, we also excel in the classroom. Semester after semester we have one of the highest cumulative GPAs among all fraternities on campus. We take great pride in our rush process being effective, looking out for the best interest of each potential member and Alpha Mu, while embracing inclusion and diversity. The brothers of Alpha Mu come from various cities, high schools, and family backgrounds, and pursue a wide variety of majors at A&M.
I am so grateful for your interest in our chapter. Please feel free to navigate the rest of our website to learn more about who we are and what we do. Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. I will do my best to provide an accurate answer in a timely manner.
Thank you,
Hank Smith
President
